To Beanbag or not to Beanbag . . .

That is the question.

The OSU Juggling Club will be performing as the warm up act for the campus production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

The shows are outdoors, so plenty of space to juggle :-)

Figured I would list the shows and then people can come back through and edit the post with a description of the results!

We are also "passing the hat" as a way to raise money for the club, so might as well have a list of our take on each given show too.

Show 1 - August 9th
Performers:
Ed
Chris C (aka Prez)
David

Ok, so you know how those first shows go . . .

This one was a bit rough due to a . . . you guessed it . . . technical error :-) We were unable to be provided with an outlet for powering the speaker system, so . . . no music (was it just me or was the Tech Guy excessively not helpful there) which was our entire plan for the performance.

So, went to backup plan, which was to go through most of the routines as best we could without the music.

Started with Ed doing some contact juggling, then myself doing some Diabolo, followed by Ed and I doing some 3 / 4 / 5 ball stuff. Finished with some various club juggling between Ed, Chris and myself.

I think all things considered, it went just fine. There weren't nearly as many drops as I was expecting and hey, we had fun, and kept the audience busy for a while, which was the point in the first place.

Show ran somewhere between 15 and 18 minutes, which was our target. With the music it might run a bit longer perhaps. We'll have to see.

We were assured though that the plug issue from this show would be fixed for the next one. Having the music going will go a long ways in making the show go a bit smoother and get the audience involved as well :-)

Take: $43
